Burnt Orange Top For Fall
Hi everyone! I think the first thing to do when styling a Fall top is to find a color and style that you love, then pair it with another great color, add some jewelry and voila! I was so excited when I saw this top hanging on a rack at Hamrick's. It was one of those moments when you see an article of clothing and you just know it is meant for you!
Now, I'm calling the color of this top burnt orange, but you may have another name for it and that's OK. I simply adore the texture of the fabric and, especially, the slanting brown buttons on this tunic top by Southern Lady. This just gives that little extra "oomph" to the look of this top. I have another top with similar texture in a cream color and have enjoyed wearing it a lot so I know I will get lots of wear from this one.
Remember when I paired my animal print tunic with these olive pants? Well, I just knew that the burnt orange would be a perfect match with the pants, as well. I had to see some stylings by other people on the blogs in order to understand the possibilities of matching colors with olive green and now I'm having fun finding new possibilities. I know this top will also look great with tan and dark brown pants, as well.
Here's a closeup of the jewelry I chose to wear with this outfit. To me, gold goes perfectly with burnt orange and olive green. Both of these bracelets are stretchy and easy to wear and I so love the bracelet that has affirmations on it. It was a gift from when I was teaching and always serves to remind me to believe and achieve!
So what am I hoping you will take away from today's post? I hope that you will be encouraged to try color combinations that you might not think of pairing together. I hope that you will find textures and colors that you love and run with them. I hope that you will keep an eye out for clothing that just calls to you saying, "Yoo-hoo, I'm over here hanging on the rack just waiting for you to see me!"
Hope you will take a moment to leave a comment because I love them all! And be sure to keep an eye out for my next post when I will share some of my daily life here lately. I think it will be fun and there just might be a fun announcement for you!
Until Next Time,
Debbie

I absolutely love your new fall top, Debbie. The color is gorgeous on you, and I especially like the way the buttons slant on the front. It looks both comfortable and stylish. I have had that experience as well where an item in a store seems to be there just for me. It hasn't happened in quite a while, but it's fun when it does. I'm looking forward to your next post!
This is a beautiful color and perfect for fall! I like your hair too... looks like you got it cut. The orange and olive are great together, and I agree, the gold jewelry was the way to go! When I saw the close-up of the top, it took me back to beach vacation gift shops, strange as that may sound! Just seems like I would see things like this in the shops, kind of like the Magic Scarf things, always with texture! This was a great find. We're finally starting to get some fall colors here, and it's supposed to cool off this weekend, so time to get out the fall clothes, finally!!
Thanks, Sharon! I am enjoying this top already. It was a fun find.
Thanks, Karen! I found this top and my other textured top both at Hamrick's which is an outlet type store here in Asheville. They have tons of clothing so it's highly possible that some of the beach shops may send their extras to Hamrick's to sell or the other way around. Hamrick's tends to always carry Southern Lady clothing which is a brand I really like and that always fits me. If you are ever in Asheville, definitely check out Hamrick's in River Ridge Shopping Plaza. And thanks for the hair compliment! I did get it cut recently and hope to keep up with this style because I really like it.
LOVE your new top. I just recently got one about the same color (different fabric & style). I love that color. Unfortunately don't have any olive pants, but do have a pair of tan that it works with. Glad you found one you like.
