Happy New Year 2017!

As hard as it is to believe, 2017 is almost upon us. A year that is fresh and new stands before us. What will 2017 bring? I hope for all of us, it brings only good. One thing we can count on in any year is change of some kind. And this year is no different. For me, this new year brings the lifestyle change to retirement, which I will be talking about more in my next post. I've never been a fan of change. I enjoy keeping things as they are....as I am comfortable. And yet, sometimes it takes change for new growth to happen, even though the "unknown" comes with change. For me, one thing never changes....and that is my faith that the Lord walks with me in life. And so, as I enter 2017, I take my faith with me knowing that I am never alone. God's light shines forth always. The word "light" is my "One Perfect Word" for 2017 and I have already begun a study of scripture, locating where this word is used. I will share those scriptures in future posts. Today, as the New Year 2017 begins, I would like to share the following verses from Isaiah 9:1-7
"The people who walked in darkness
have seen a great light.
For those who lived in a land of deep shadows-
light! sunbursts of light!
You repopulated the nation,
you expanded its joy.
Oh, they're so glad in your presence!
Festival joy!
The joy of a great celebration,
sharing rich gifts and warm greetings."
(The Message translation)
My Warmest Greetings in this New Year to You Until Next Time,
Debbie

Happy New Year Debbie!
I also do a word as opposed to resolutions. You verses are an inspiration, and uplifting. Happy New Year and a most enjoyable and joyous retirement.
