Feeling Kind of Mellow
So, did I get your attention with this picture? No....this isn't Mr.thisandthat! We've been enjoying a "staycation" for Spring Break this week and decided to spend some time downtown today at one of our favorite restaurants. This guy is seated in front of the restaurant. Couldn't resist a pic with him!
It's been months since we've eaten at this restaurant. In fact we discovered they had remodeled when we got inside.
Can you tell I'm relaxed? It's been so awesome to have some time off to rest and catch up with things around the house.
Then, we tucked into a Mega Veggie pizza! Just look at all those yummy veggies......broccoli, tomato, onions, mushrooms, banana peppers and tofu all piled up.
Pizza is one of my favorite foods in the whole world! To me, it's the very definition of "comfort" food!
It was fun to see the new restaurant decor. This disco ball fits right in with my last post!
Part of their decor was an interesting take on Alice in Wonderland!
Since we were stuffed from lunch, we took some time to walk around downtown a bit and Mr.thisandthat snapped this photo for me. Maybe we exercised off a few calories!
Saw LOTS of construction going on!

It was a fun and relaxing day.....I think I could grow accustomed to having "staycations" more often!! How about you? Did you do anything special this week after Easter? And do you enjoy "staycations" over travel? As always, I enjoy hearing from you! Happy Weekend!
Until next time,
Debbie

Just got back from NC where I spent a week with my teenage grandson. We stayed part of the week in a "tiny house" in a forest by a lake -wonderful time! And the weather was better than our still way too chilly Ohio temps! We have been to a Mellow Mushroom in Charlotte & loved it! Your post brought back memories of a fun dinner out! I have extreme wanderlust so have not done many staycations! But having a week off work is such a treat, staying home or not!
Sounds like you had a great time in NC with your grandson, Karen! I'm so glad we both like Mellow Mushroom. It's a fun and delicious place to eat! Glad the post reminded you of happy memories! Have a great week. It's back to school for me on Monday!
